AP Govt Saves Rs 1,500 Cr Through Reverse Tendering: Minister - Sakshi Post

Tadepalli: The Andhra Pradesh government has saved Rs 1500 crores of the public exchequer through reverse tendering, said YSRCP leader and minister for water resources Anil Kumar Yadav on Monday (October 21).

While he was speaking at a press conference in Tadepalli, the YSR Congress Party leader added that the AP Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy led the YSRCP government and saved Rs 61 crores in Veligonda and estimates that furthermore Rs 500 crore will be saved. Kumar added that by implementing this reverse tendering in all the irrigation projects we can save up to Rs 5000 crore.

Taking a dig at Chandrababu Naidu, Kumar criticised the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders for spreading false propaganda against YS Jagan and YSRCP welfare schemes instead of praising YS Jagan for this great initiative which has saved a lot of public money. He also added that the YSRCP government have completed the tenders process in a fully transparent manner and utilising the saved money for public welfare.

Kumar further questioned Chandrababu Naidu over corruption and excess tendering process which was followed to give the tenders to the TDP favourable persons during the TDP regime.

The water resources minister added that by god's grace is AP getting good rains in YS Jagan's regime and all the irrigation projects are filled with surplus water. The minister further explained that the flooding of the rivers Krishna and Godavari caused some trouble in the distribution of sand for the construction of the projects and Chandrababu Naidu is trying to politicise the issue. He slammed Chandrababu Naidu for criticising YS Jagan' Delhi visit.
