Boiler Explodes At Bobbili Chemical Factory; Two Killed

Amaravati: Two technicians were killed and at least ten other workers sustained severe injuries after a boiler exploded in a chemical factory at Bobbili Industrial Area of Vizianagaram district.

The deceased are identified as P Suresh (35) and A Jagadish (37). The incident took place at Sri Balaji Chemical Industries Ltd. in the early hours of Friday. The Bobbili police visited the factory after the blast and shifted the injured to the nearby Government hospitals where they are currently undergoing treatment.

The police are investigating the cause behind the explosion. The factory has been cordoned off for security reasons. Workers at the factory alleged that there were no proper security systems in place.
