Amaravathi: Andhra Pradesh EAMCET results have been declared today at 11.30 AM after an inordinate delay caused due to the controversy surrounding Telangana Intermediate results. Elaborate arrangements have been made for the purpose.

The chairman of Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education, Prof S Vijaya Raju released the AP EAMCET results at the conference hall of APSCHE.

As per the statistics, 74.39 percentage of students have qualified for the Engineering exam and 83.64 percentage for the Agri/Medical Exam.

As many as 2, 82, 901 candidates appeared for EAMCET, of which 1, 85,711 took engineering exam and 81,916 appeared for the agriculture stream. Around 36,000 candidates from Telangana also took part in the exam.

As calculation of EAMCET ranks require Intermediate marks, as it accounts for 25 per cent in arriving at final result in EAMCET , the results have been withheld. This is to buy time until Telangana Intermediate Board published its results following re-verification due to major irregularities which had surfaced.

Students can download their results of AP EAMCET from the sche.ap.gov.in/eamcet.

The AP EAMCET is conducted by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Kakinada on behalf of APSCHE.

The entrance exam is the prerequisite for admissions into various professional courses B.E/B. Tech, Bachelor in Pharmacy and Agriculture offered by university/private colleges in the state.

The AP EAMCET examination was conducted from 20-23 April, 2019 (Engineering) and 23 and 24 April, 2019 (Agriculture). The AP EAMCET answer key was released from 24 April. Based on the AP EAMCET Rank card, the candidates are called for a counseling session and later will be allotted seats in various colleges.

The qualifying percentage of marks for the AP EAMCET-2019 is 25 per cent of the maximum marks considered for ranking.

A total of 2,82,633 candidates applied for AP EAMCET 2019. Of whom, 1,95,908 candidates applied for engineering and 86,910 candidates applied for medical and agriculture courses.
