Three Youngsters Drown In Godavari

Peravali: Three youngsters drowned while bathing in Godavari River on Tuesday. As per the details, a group of four friends from Tadepalligudem went for a trip at the Godavari coast near Kakaraparru in Peravali Mandal at 11 am.

The four friends - Vijju Sai Kiran, Muthyala Manikanta, Miryala Vamsi, Sthyvureddy Naveen Kumar spent the entire day at the coast. In the evening at 5 pm, they took a dip in the Godavari river.

While Naveen Kumar stayed behind on the bank of the river, the other three friends ventured into the river. But as the depth of water was more, all of them drowned. Noticing this, Naveen attempted to save his friends and kept calling for help.

Later, he approached the Peravali police station and narrated the entire incident. A police team rushed to the spot and with the help of the expert divers, tried to trace the youngsters but the bodies remained untraced.

A case of drowning has been registered by the police and further investigation is on.
