Chandrababu Blaming EC For Impending Loss

GVL Narasimha Rao - Sakshi Post

Vijayawada: Rajya Sabha member and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader GVL Narasimha Rao said that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Chief N Chandrababu Naidu had understood that he was going to lose the elections this time. However, Chandrababu was trying to throw the blame on the Election Commission (EC), he commented.

Speaking to the media on Friday, he said that the Election Commission was an independent entity and would not listen to any person, party or organisation. If it were to listen to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, would it stall the screening of his biopic before the elections, he asked.

He came out strongly on Chandrababu's allegations that the EVMs were not functioning saying that it was a tactic to mislead the public. It was true that a few EVMs were facing technical issues, but they were resolved immediately and the polling was conducted smoothly. The BJP leader said that there was a huge anti-TDP wave and people of Andhra Pradesh were completely against the TDP MLAs. Apart from this, there was huge awareness amongst the public who had come in large numbers to exercise their voting rights. He predicted that there was defeat insight for the TDP and there was clarity that the people were against the ruling government. He scoffed at Chandrababu's absurd statement that when the people voted for TDP the votes were going to the YSR
