YSRCP Leaders Arrested In Vijayawada

Vijayawada: The police have illegally arrested YSR Congress Party leaders who were proceeding towards Irrigation Department Superintendent Engineer's office to submit a memorandum requesting for release of water for farms. YSRCP leaders Parthasarathy and Jogi Ramesh along with other party workers were proceeding towards the SE office here today, when the police stopped and arrested them.

The YSRCP leaders said that it was unjust on the government's part to not allow them to even submit a memorandum. Parthasarathy said that crops were drying up due to lack of water. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was incompetent, a reason why he was not supplying water to the farmers.

He further said that August has arrived but till date the government was unable to release water to the farms. Water resources minister Devineni Umamaheshwara Rao was not even bothered about the issue. He said AP CM and ministers were busy sitting at Vijayawada office and spreading false information. Jogi Ramesh added that the government was least bothered about the problems of farmers.
