Ameer Dares Rajnikanth To Declare His Earnings

Popular movie director Ameer Sultan targeted the South Indian superstar Rajnikanth for his unabashed support for Narendra Modi's demonetisation move. He challenged Rajni to declare his earnings from movies which included white and black money components.

Rajnikanth had thrown his support behind Modi in this demonetisation efforts and acclaimed Modi for heralding a 'New India'. Rajnikanth had recently tweeted his comments on the issue.

Speaking at an event recently Ameer criticised Rajnikanth's support and questioned why Rajnikanth, who had always maintained astute silence in the past even when there were larger crises, was now openly declaring his support for Narendra Modi's demonetisation move.

Ameer also dared Rajnikanth to declare his earnings from his movies in 'Old India' when he was paid both in white and black money. Would Rajnikanth declare how much his movie 'Kabali' had earned, he questioned and said that everyone knew about the fact that 'Kabali' tickets were sold for prices much higher than their legal price.

It was only because of the help of Rajnikanth and Pawan Kalyan did Modi get to win the elections, Ameer said and added that as far as demonetisation was there were mixed reactions about the move.
