All-party meeting is only to get views: Azad - Sakshi Post

Putting an end to speculation surrounding the scheduled all-party meeting to resolve Telangana issue, Union  Health Minister Gulam Nabi Azad on Thursday said that Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde had proposed all-party meeting to know the opinions of all the parties on the contentious issue.

Talking to mediapersons in Hyderabad, Azad said, "Sushil Kumar Shinde convened an all-party meeting on December 28 as he has recently taken over charge as he and the home minister want to know the opinions of the other parties on the Telangana issue." He also reminded about the past two all-party meetings held by the Centre.
Stating that there will be different opinions from different parties—while some want to be united, the others want the state  divided, he said. However, he welcomed views from all the parties.
He also met several leaders in the state including Jana Reddy and D. Srinivas. It may be recalled that the last two meetings on the issue were a failure. Will this one yield any fruitful results?
