AgriGold Accused Handed Over to Telanagana CID

Hyderabad: The accused in AgriGold which defrauded hundreds of depositors in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and other states throughout the country by promising high interests on deposits, has been handed over to Telangana CID.

The accused have been taken into custody by the officials from Eluru jail. Two cases were filed against AgriGold by Andhra Pradesh as well as the districts of Mehboob Nagar and Nalgonda for not returning the depositers amount. AP government arrested and seized the assets of the accused. A week back Telangana high court ordered state CID to investigate on these cases.

The CID will interrogate for three days from Wednesday Agri gold chairman Avva Venkat Ramarao and Managing Director Sesha Narayanarao.
