Adverse Impact Of Demonetisation On Telangana: KCR

New Delhi: Demonetisation impacted the state economy adversely and revenues fell to a record low, Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao said here on Saturday during a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The chief minister is in the national capital to apprise the Prime Minister about the falling revenues in the state due to the announcement of demonetisation. He urged Modi to take measures to ensure that farmers, small traders, middle class daily wage earners are provided relief in accessing lower denomination currency notes. "A meeting of chief ministers from all the states should be called on the steps needed to minimise the impact of demonetisation on the common man. States should be made part of the demonetisation process," he said.
