5 People From Guntur Killed In Tamil Nadu Road Mishap

Chennai: Five people from Guntur were killed and many others injured in an accident in Tamil Nadu's Tirunelveli. The mishap occurred when cement laden lorry rammed into a stationary bus on Saturday.

The injured were immediately shifted to a hospital. The police said that the death toll might rise as many people are critically injured. The deceased were identified as the residents of Kolluru village, Ponnur mandal in Guntur. All the five victims were heading for Kanyakumari from Chennai.

Tamil Nadu chief minister K. Palaniswami ordered a probe into the accident. Meanwhile, they is no clarity on the number of people travelling in the bus.
