5 Killed After Car Rams Into Lorry In Shadnagar

Hyderabad: Five people were killed after the car they were travelling rammed into a stationary lorry at Nandigama, about 70km from Hyderabad, on Friday.

The mishap took place on NH44 near Nandigama, Shadnagar, when the victims were heading towards Gudur from Lingampally in Hyderabad. When they reached Nandigama it hit head on to a lorry which was halted on the roadside. The front portion of the car(AP 28 TV 4004) was crushed completely under the lorry. Four died on the spot and other succumbed to injuries while shifting to hospital.

Four of the deceased members belonged to same family and are identified as Somanna, Narsamma, Somesh, Gidhamma. The identity of the other person was not yet known.

Police registered a case and sent the bodies for post-mortem.
