2 Women Killed After Tractor Hits Their Scooty In Machilipatnam  

Machilipatnam: A woman and her niece were killed when a tractor hit their two-wheeler from rear in Krishna district on Sunday.

The mishap took place at Veluvolu around 7.30am when the two women and the daughter of one of them were heading to Avanigadda from Vijayawada on a scooty. Ankamma(47) died on the spot, while her niece Sivaleela(15) succumbed to injuries on the way to hospital.

Sivaleela's mother sustained injuries is undergoing treatment at Avanigadda government hospital.

The police registered a case and sent the bodies for post-mortem.
