15 more cellphones seized from Cherlapally prison

As many as 15 cellphones were seized from Cherlapally Central jail in Hyderabad on Thursday during a surprise check conducted by a special team of officials.

According to reports, the jail authorities have conducted a surprise check in Brahmaputra and Manjira blocks and found cellphones in the barracks of the inmates.

On Wednesday, following the seizure of cellphones and SIM cards from prisoners at the Cherlapalli jail, a chief warden and two wardens were placed under suspension for negligence of duty.
