12 Killed As Truck Veers Off Road

Jabalpur: At least 12 persons were killed and 30 others injured when a mini truck veered off the road and fell into a gorge in Madhya Pradesh on Monday.

Senior police officials said that the accident occurred in Chargawan area when the truck packed with daily workers hit a mud road that caved in near Neechi village on Jabalpur-Chargawan road. The driver lost control on the vehicle and it rolled into the gorge. The driver reportedly jumped out of the truck and fled the spot. The injured have been rushed to Jabalpur for treatment.
