YSRCP Challenges TDP MPs To Submit Resignations

YSRCP Spokesperson Parthasarathy - Sakshi Post

Vijayawada: YSR Congress Party Spokesperson Parthasarathy accused Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu of diluting the fight for Special Category Status (SCS) to the state. Speaking to the media here today, he said the Centre would give in to the demand for SCS to AP only when the TDP MPs also resign with the YSRCP MPs. However, the way things are, it is evident that the TDP MPs were not ready to join hands for the welfare of the state, he said.

Parthasarathy pointed out that Chandrababu was afraid that the Centre would investigate the cases against him and that the truth would be out in the public. He said this was the reason for him not intensifying the stir for SCS to AP. The YSRCP spokesperson challenged the AP CM to ask MPs from his party to resign and support the call given by the YSRCP party as well as intensify the fight against the centre.

He recalled that it was through resignations of the TRS leaders that the demand for a separate state of Telangana could be achieved. Only when 25 MPs submit resignations the Centre would react and even grant SCS to AP, he explained. The YSRCP spokesperson suggested that it was time for Chandrababu to stop staging dramas and cheating people, if he was really concerned about the welfare of the state.

All these years, AP CM had been singing praises of the Special Package, Parthasarathy said. He seemed to have understood the impact of a relentless fight for SCS to AP by YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, and clearly rattled, he took another U-turn demanding SCS for the state.
