YS Jagan worried over water shortage

YS Jagan worried over water shortage - Sakshi Post

YSRCP Chief YS Jagan  Mohan Reddy expressed grief and concern over the water shortage in Pulivendula.

He visited the Chitravathi reservoir on Friday, April 03 that had only one tmc of water available while the storage capacity of  is 10 tmc.

Discussing about water issues of his constituency YS Jagan worried that one and a half lakh acres of agricultural land need water supply while the water available would not be sufficient to serve at-least a minimum of12000 acres. He added that the drinking water storage tank in Pulivendula did not contain a least of 10 % of its total capacity

YS Jagan questioned the government on how they would supply water for agricultural and drinking needs of Pulivendula people, when 0.95 tmc of the available one tmc should be stored as dead-storage in the reservoir.

YS Jagan stated that it was pointless of Chief Minister Chadrababu naidu and irrigation Minister Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao to say that they would felicitate farmers, when the peasants of Pulivendala did not have their minimum requirements for water met. He also reminded that  YSR gave 12 tmc of water to brahmam sagar where as,Chandra babu has not released a single drop of water yet.
