YS Jagan impact: AP Government forms sea erosion committee

A few days after YSR Congress Party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy warned that as many as 300 villages on the coast would vanish unless the State Government takes immediate steps, the Government on Monday issued a GO constituting a committee to take up a detailed study into the erosion.

YS Jagan had recently inspected the damage caused due to sea shore erosion in Vizag's RK Beach. 

He demanded that at least now the AP government should wake up, examine the beach erosion and recommend suitable measures to arrest it.
The Government finally constituted a committee to find long-term measures to curb it.
