Woman Gets Beaten Up For Resisting Molestation Bid

Mainpuri (Uttar Pradesh): Even as Nirbhaya's rape case is still haunting the nation, yet another shocking incident has surfaced in Mainpuri district of Uttar Pradesh. A video has gone viral showing ‘goondaraj’ in the state.

A couple was beaten up with sticks in a broad daylight by two thugs for resisting their bid to molest the woman. The saddest part was that on-lookers stood as mere spectators, none of them came forward to the rescue of the hapless victims.

According to reports, the incident took place in a busy market, where the couple was enquiring about an address.

Reportedly, the woman's dupatta was pulled.by the thugs. The woman and her husband resisted the attempt and the thugs took a stick and beat the couple. The woman appears to have been injured in the head.. The goons also used abusive language at the woman.

The couple has filed a police complaint and one of the assailants has been identified as Anand Yadav.
