Will Revanth now look for a new vocation and location?

Hyderabad: 'Don't make promises you cannot keep and do not take oaths that can shatter the ground beneath your feet...' A select group of politicians from the opposition parties are probably biting their tongues right now for not heeding to such wise caution.
The Telangana TDP working president Revanth Reddy for one, had challenged in public, that he would not only resign his membership from the Legislative Assembly but would leave politics for good, if the TRS party won 100 seats in the GHMC elections. And if that was not enough he entrenched himself deeper into the political pit by raising the stakes further, saying, he would not only quit politics forever but would leave the region and never step into Telangana again.
It was as if the gods themselves had colluded against him to settle a score; the TRS victory roll on Friday night, clocked the exact number! It even added a few more bonus divisions as the final results were still coming in.
Amidst chuckles and wisecracks, everyone is now wondering whether Revanth will man up and pay the price for his political gimmickry. What makes the loss more painful is the fact that the BJP-TDP combine managed to win only 4 divisions with 3 of the 4 going to BJP and leaving only a single win for TDP. Pre-election seat sharing agreement between these two parties witnessed friction when Chandrababu's son Lokesh stepped in to demand certain divisions for themselves where the BJP was seen to be much stronger.
The choices for Telangana TDP working president, Revanth Reddy, appear to be 'between the fire and the frying pan.' Will he own up (the also historical) loss for the TDP in Hyderabad and will he keep his word and find a new vocation and a new location? Only time will tell...
