Why does AP capital city need more land than US capital?

Congress leader N Thulasi Reddy ridiculed the TDP's attempts to acquire more land than necessary for the AP capital.

"Even the capital of the world super power America was built on 7000 acres. Why does Chandrababu need 32000 acres," he asked. Talking to mediapersons on Monday, he said the government was taking away productive lands from the farmers in the name of Capital city construction.

He also accused Chandrababu of neglecting the farmers . Tulasi Reddy also blamed Babu for not releasing a input subsidies in these two years and also for failing to distribute Seeds to farmers. He explained that only 1500 Quintals of seeds have been supplied to the farmers while there is a demand for as much as 9000 Quintals of seeds.
