'We will request special status for AP for 15 yrs'
Andhra Pradesh Minister for Finance and Commercial Taxes Yanamala Ramakrishnudu clarified that their government would fulfill all its promises made at the time of elections. “No one can have any doubts in it,” said the minister.
Speaking after taking over charge of two ministries at South H block in Secretariat on Sunday, he said, “We won’t hesitate to fulfill the election promises eventhough there is a revenue deficit.”
He said that they would try to increase the revenue of the state without burdening the people.
“We will request the centre to grant special status for Andhra Pradesh for a period of 15 years,” said the minister.
He announced that they would bring reforms in the finance ministry of the state. “We will amend the FRBM act of the state,” said Yanamala.
He stressed the need to bring the additional amount of funds from the centre.
