Warangal NIT Students Arrested For Peddling Drugs, Substance Recovered

Warangal: The drugs scandal appears to have spread to Warangal city after it had wreaked havoc in Hyderabad. Two engineering final year students were arrested on Wednesday for allegedly supplying drugs to fellow students in the NIT (National Institute of Technology) Warangal.

The investigative team, which is probing the ongoing drugs case, secured crucial details from the accused who were already in the police custody. Following the tip-off, the police teams raided Warangal NIT college and hostel, arrested two students — Bijju and Ramesh.

The police are learnt to have recovered banned substance from the students. Further details are still awaited.
