Warangal Acid Attack Victim Madhuri Dies At MGM Hospital 

Madhuri, the girl who suffered an acid attack at the hands of an autorickshaw driver for refusing his marriage proposal succumbed to burns this morning at the MGM Hospital in Warangal.

The 31-year-old married woman, who was found lying on a roadside in Warangal with acid burns was rushed to MGM hospital by passersby.

Madhuri had been working as an attendant at a petrol bunk in Hanamkonda. The woman sustained 70 per cent burns following the acid attack. The woman is the mother of a three-year-old boy and separated from her husband. It is learned that she developed friendship with an autorickshaw driver Chandrashekar which soon turned into a romantic liason. Eventually, Chandrashekar realised that she was cheating on him. He threw acid on her to teach her a lesson.

The police took the accused into their custody.
