Uncertainty Looms Over Vijay’s Adirindhi Release

Ilayathalapathy Vijay has gotten busy with his new project after his recent film Mersal did very well at the box office. The Telugu version of the film is titled Adirindhi and it was supposed to be released on the 18th of this month along with the original Tamil film which did not happen.
The reason for the delay in the release is the censor formalities of the Telugu version were not completed on time.
Usually, when a film is dubbed in a language, the makers of the original version have to apply for censor clearance at the same place where the original film is done. Thus, the producer has applied for the same in Chennai but in the last minute. Now, adding to it, the film has run into several controversies which has kept the producer busy.
Sharath Marar, who brought the film rights in Telugu is feeling a lot of pressure as he is also not able to get in touch with the producer to announce the new release date. We hear that he has already spent a lot of money in the form of promotions and made agreements with some theatres.
