TSRTC To Roll Out Free Wi-Fi In AC Buses

Hyderabad: Here comes the good news for net-savvy bus commuters as nearly 115 AC buses in the city including entire fleet of airport liner Pushpak buses will have free Wi-Fi service by the end of this week.

During a press briefing on Tuesday, TSRTC executive director A Purushottam Naik said, “Free Wi-Fi will be provided for half an hour and the facility will be extended to the remaining high-end AC buses in the city in the next phase.”

Presently, the day pass facility allows passengers to take any number of trips in a day and to any location within the city up to 11.59 pm. Now, passes for tourists and locals on tour will be upgraded allowing them the service for 24 hours from the time of purchase. With this we hope per day sales will surpass 10,000 units

Naik also said that day pass facility will now be enhanced in the state with 24 hours service.

Currently, 6,112 non-AC and 100 AC day passes are being sold each day.
