TRS MP Kavitha Pitches For Early Political Decision On Special Status To Andhra Pradesh 

Hyderabad: Nizamabad MP K. Kavitha on Thursday pledged an all-out support to the demand for Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh.

KCR’s daughter visited Nandigama in Krishna district for a function at her friend’s house in Anasagaram.

A political decision at the highest level can make it possible. It is not correct on the part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to scuttle down the demand by showing some lame excuses

Speaking to media on the occasion, Kavitha said, “The demand by people of AP for Special Category Status is just and reasonable and it was promised by the then prime minister in the parliament at the time of bifurcation. If it is not possible due to any rules, they must be amended. A political decision at the highest level can make it possible. It is not correct on the part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to scuttle down the demand by showing some lame excuses.”

She said her party would extend moral support to the people of Andhra Pradesh.”We are with our neighbor on this issue.”

“The TDP and YCP MPs are raising the demand for special status standing in their places in Parliament. We may not do that but we will extend all our support whenever required in the legislative process of givging Special Status. The Centre is fulfilling promises one after other and we hope that it will fulfill all its promises.”

We always wanted good relations with neighbouring states, she said.

Nizamabad MP K Kavitha made it clear that Telangana Government will not oppose if Centre wishes to grant Special Category Status to AP. She, however, sought equal justice to Telangana by extending all the favors offered to AP for the youngest state as well.
