Traffic Challans Can Now Be Paid Through PayTM In Hyderabad

Hyderabad: In an effort to make traffic challan payments easier, the Hyderabad City Traffic Police have introduced a new cashless enforcement method from Wednesday. Commuters can now make e-Challan payments through Paytm.
According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic-II) AV Ranganath, the public can pay challans whenever they want from their smartphones using Paytm and also through the other payment gateways that are already in use.
Vehicle owners can check if any challans are pending against them by visiting the official website www.htp.gov.in or www.echallan.org, he said.
“A separate mobile and web application in collaboration with Paytm is being developed and will be launched soon for payments via Paytm,” he said adding that fines paid through this mode would be updated on the server immediately.
To facilitate payment of fines in an easier way, the traffic police had earlier created several payment gateways including via E-Seva and Mee-Seva centers, net banking, post office, State Bank of India and Andhra Bank (bill desk).
For any queries and problems, the citizens can contact the helpline numbers 9010203626 and 040 27852772, the DCP said.
