Tough time for turncoat MLA

Tough time for turncoat MLA - Sakshi Post

The going seems to be getting increasingly tougher for Allagadda strongman Bhuma Nagireddy ever since he switched loyalties and joined the ruling TDP.He expected his acolytes and the party orgnisational network too to follow him into the ruling TDP after he joined it. However, it now turns out that several of his followers are simply refusing to follow him.

Senior party leader and Allagadda nagar panchayat vice chairperson Dr Ramalinga Reddy and his wife Dr Sarojini, who are hugely popular in the town due to the activies carried out by then under the aegis of Ankal Reddy Memorial Seva Trust, have categorically said that they would sail with the YSRCP and that there was no question of their following Bhuma. The nagar panchayat has 18 YSRCP councillors out of a total of 20.
Several other leaders too are refusing to toe Bhuma Nagireddy's line. A large number of voters too are unhappy with Bhuma family's crossover. A large number of anti-Bhuma voters, who were their traditional political rivals, had set aside their differences and voted for him when he joined the YSRCP. This helped them garner votes in Vuyyalawada, Chagalamarri and Srivella mandals. With Bhuma joining the TDP, these voters want to vote him out in the next elections.
