Tirupati: Making the Krishna Pushkarams a grand affair, the Andhra Pradesh government will be inaugurating a replica temple of Lord Sri Venkateswara at PWD Grounds in Vijayawada on August 7.

At a review meeting on Tuesday, TTD executive officer D. Sambasiva Rao said that a special exhibition will be held for the devotees at the temple from August 11. The exhibit will carry rare photos alongside the spiritual books and spiritual museum.

We will distribute five lakh pocket photos of Lord Venkateswara to the devotees who visit the replica temple at PWD Grounds

The officer also instructed the in-charge officials to take care required measures in view of monsoon.

The model temple is said to be built on 4.8 acres having a width of 82 feet and height of 130 feet. The estimated cost that went into building the temple is said to be Rs 3 crore. As prasadams devotees will be offered chakkera pongali, pulihora and laddu.

In terms of security CCTV cameras will be installed at the temple premises and as many as 75,000 devotees are expected to throng the temple during the 12-day Krishna Pushkarams.

Apart from deployment of 800 personnel over 1,000 Srivari Seva volunteers, scouts and guides have also been arranged by TTD.
