Tiny Twins Raped By Several Men, Own Brother With Mother’s Help For Years: Police

Hyderabad: Cyberabad police have unspooled new facts in twin sisters rape case stating that the 8-year-old victims were sexually assaulted by seven others over the past few years making a third arrest on Sunday.

The police arrested Pradeep Agarwal, owner of a factory at Katedan who molested the girls several times when they stayed at Katedan two years back before moving to their current residence at Laxmiguda Colony of Mylardevpally.

Shamshabad DCP PV Padmaja said, "Pradeep was recently accused for molesting one of the female employees and four days back he came out on bail."

The victim's family stayed at Katedan and Budvel wherein the mother had illicit relationship with several men and the offenders used to molest the minors.

All this was happening with the active connivance of the victims’ mother, police said, adding that the elder brother of the twins and one of his friends also started exploiting them very recently

"When they were staying in Katedan, girls mother used to send them to sleep in an air conditioned room of one supervisor who misbehaved badly with both the girls on many occasions," the police official said.

The girls were sexually abused by their own elder brother, his friend, a private factory supervisor, three other men of Budvel and an auto driver, Shafi.

All this was happening with the active connivance of the victims' mother, police said, adding that the elder brother of the twins and one of his friends also started exploiting them very recently.

So far police arrested Jaffar (40), his 16-year-old son, Pradeep and victims mother and a manhunt has been launched to trace the other accused.

The incident came to light after the sisters revealed their ordeal to her teacher who then alerted a child rights NGO, which then approached Shamshabad DCP PV Padmaja.

Following the complaint, a case was registered on charges of rape and trafficking of persons under relevant sections of IPC and other provisions of Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences Act, police had said. The NGO had said that the victims hailed from Nepal but have settled in Hyderabad.

Cyberabad police commissioner Sandeep Shandilya said that children should be told about bad or inappropriate touch. "If parents or teachers come to know about any kind of child abuse, they should approach the SHE teams or local police," she added.
