Tilakaratne Dishan to retire from International Cricket

Swashbuckling batsman and Sri Lankan cricketing giant Tilakaratne Dilshan has announced that he would retire after the current one-day series with Australia. He has already retired from test cricket in 2013.

Dilshan entered international cricket in 1999 and played 329 one-dayers so far. He has scored 22 centuries and 47 half centuries. He has also scalped 106 wickets.

Dilshan, who as an opening batsman, piled up big scores for his team on many an occasion. He is currently playing five one-dayer series with Australia and has so far played two matches. In the first match he scored 22 and managed just 10 in the second.
