Three-Year-Old Set On Fire For Failing To Make Way For The Motorist

Hyderabad: A three-year-old boy suffered critical burn injuries and is undergoing treatment at the Osmania General Hospital after a neighbour allegedly poured petrol on him and set him on fire after the boy did not heed his instructions to move out of his way. The shocking incident occurred in Kalapathar in Hyderabad on Monday.
The three-year-old Ali Shair is the youngest of the four children belonging to auto rickshaw driver Md Rahim and Yasmin. On Monday, while Ali was playing in front of their house along with few other kids, their 16-year-old neighbour arrived there on his bike.
He shouted at the kids to move away but Ali Shair could not understand what the boy meant and did not move. The boy threatened the child once again but when he did not move he allegedly took some petrol and poured it on the boy and set him ablaze.
Ali Shair was immediately rushed to Osmania General Hospital. He suffered burns on his head, neck, shoulders and back. The doctors who are treating Ali say that his condition is critical and he needs better treatment. The Health Minister C Laxma Reddy said that they would ensure the best possible treatment for Ali.
Meanwhile the Kalapathar police have registered a case under Section 285. Kalapathar SI G Sravan Kumar said their investigation revealed that the minor boy was playing with a petrol bottle and accidentally petrol spilled and fell on Ali who was standing nearby.
