Hyderabad: Shanvi Srivastava, the actress who rose to fame with the song 'Lovely Lovely' where she cavorted with Aadi has defied boundaries, crossed frontiers. She landed in her first international project in China. She will be seen in a Chinese web series of 11 episodes titled 'The Dark Lord. ' Know, who she pipped past in the race for the role? The makers initially zeroed in on Sunny Leone, but felt her looks were too western for a Chinese web series. So, Shanvi ended up bagging the coveted role.
“I had to undergo a look test to play an Indian Princess. I learnt Chinese for the role,” says Shanvi. The episodes have been shot in the hinterland of Guangzhou. Shanvi has several good things to say about the Chinese. She says they are both brainy as well as hard-working. She says the shoot was a memorable experience.
