This Gujarat Village Has Everything You Ask For

The village approximately has 250 to 300 households - Sakshi Post

Gujarat: A small village Raj Samadhiyala in Gujarat stands as an example for many and is way ahead of metropolitan cities. From free wi-fi to cement roads and liquor ban, it has everything one asks for. The village approximately has 250 to 300 households.

According to a report in AajTak, the village has two entrances and at the main gate, it carries two boards enlightening the first time visitor about the villagers. One board lists the facilities the village has, while the other lists the punishment for wrong-doing. If one consumes liquor, one has to shell out Rs 500 as penalty.

Interestingly, all the villagers utilize their vote, and if anyone does not vote, he has to pay a fine of Rs 1,000. The village fulfils the dream of Dr Abdul Kalam, who advocated PURA (provision of urban facilities in rural areas). Every street is equipped with solar street lights and every household has RO water purifiers. And for those coming from the downtrodden sections, the panchayat has set up an RO water purifier at the panchayat office. The people here iterate that Modi's Swach Bharat Abhiyaan was inspired by their village. Since several decades, the village has sanitary toilet in every home.
