Tension As Cops Foil BJP’s Chalo Telangana Assembly 

The BJP on Tuesday tried to storm into the Telangana Assembly demanding solution to the rampant unemployment in the state. The activists of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha came in large numbers to force their way into the assembly complex. The police moved in quickly and arrested the protesters.

Meanwhile, the BJP activists heading for the Chalo Assembly programme in Hyderabad were arrested at various places in the Telangana districts. Several BJP leaders wer arrested in Karimnagar. Inside the assembly, BJP legislature party leader G Kishan Reddy demanded a discussion on the issue. He demanded that the question hour be suspended so that the issue of unemployment could be taken up for discussion. Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari has criticised the BJP leader for trying to obstruct the proceedings of the house. He also slammed the BJP for continuing with the protest inside the house even after a short duration discussion was allowed.
