Uttam Kumar Reddy Resigns As Huzurnagar MLA

TPCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy resigned as Huzurnagar MLA - Sakshi Post

TPCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy resigned as Huzurnagar MLA on Wednesday. His resignation was accepted by Assembly secretary Narsimha Charyulu.

Reddy relinquished his Legislative Assembly membership as he had recently contested and won the Nalgonda Lok Sabha constituency.

Due to Reddy's resignation, the by-election to Huzurnagar Assembly segment is an eventuality. Word has it that Congress wants to field Reddy's wife Padmavathi Reddy, who contested and lost Kodad Assembly segment in December polls. Speculation is also rife that senior leader Jana Reddy, who lost from Nagarjuna Sagar, is also making efforts to impress upon the Congress leadership that he wants to contest from Huzurnagar. On the other hand, no name cropped up from ruling TRS yet.
