TRS Announces Candidates For Local Body Quota MLC Polls

Hyderabad: Former minister Patnam Mahendar Reddy, party joint secretary Pochampally Srinivas Reddy, and industrialist Thera Chinnappa Reddy will be TRS nominees from Ranga Reddy, Warangal, and Nalgonda seats respectively for upcoming MLC by-elections under local bodies’ quota.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao made an announcement to this effect on Sunday evening. These seats fell vacant after Patnam Narender Reddy (Ranga Reddy) and Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy (Nalgonda) resigned as MLCs to contest the Legislative Assembly polls in last December. On the other hand, Konda Murali (Warangal) too resigned from his MLC seat after he had switched his allegiance to Congress from TRS.
