Triangular Fight In Bhupalpally Makes It Tough For TRS In December 7 Polls

In what may be seen as an aberration to its prospects in the undivided Warangal district, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) faces tough competition in the form of the Congress candidate Gandra Venkat Ramana Reddy, Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) Chandupatla Keerthi Reddy and independent candidate Gandra Satyanarayana Rao in Bhupalpally constituency. The TRS candidate, who was the Speaker in the recently dissolved Legislative Assembly, S. Madhusudhana Chary disappointed sections of the constituency failing to deliver key election promises like the double bedroom houses and three acres land to SCs and STs etc.

On the other side, the TRS will be wary of Gandra Venkat Ramana Reddy, who lost by a thin margin of 7,214 votes, and BJP's Keerthi Reddy, who garnered huge popularity in the 2,32,053 strong electorate in the recent times thanks to her charisma and blatant criticism of the government. With independent players like Gandra Satyanarayana Rao also in the fray, the fight in Bhupalpally gets even tougher for the ruling party.
