Congress Rebels Create Ruckus Over Ticket Rejection In December 7 Telangana Polls

Hyderabad: Disappointed over being snubbed by the Telangana Congress leadership in wake of the upcoming Assembly polls, several ticket aspirants and their supporters resorted to violent protests in their respective constituencies. While leaders have already resigned from the party, some other Congress leaders are chalking out plans in the direction of contesting as rebel and independent candidates.

In a latest development, Congress leader Manukonda Radhakishore from Khammam while addressing the media at his residence, announced that he would file nomination as an independent candidate on November 19, as per the wish of his cadre. The party did injustice to loyal workers, he added.

Meanwhile, supporters of Addanki Dayakar, the Congress aspirant from Thungathurthi in Suryapet district, threatened to commit suicide by jumping from a cell tower. Nizamabad Urban Congress aspirant also announced his decision to contest as an independent.

Angered over the rejection of ticket to party aspirant from Rajendra Nagar constituency, Karthik Reddy, his supporters created a scene at the party office. The leader said every Congress worker would resign from the party if the ticket is offered to the TDP.
