Bhupalapalli: Telangana BJP president Dr K Laxman questioned the government as to why was no action was taken against Kathi Mahesh despite his derogatory words against Lord Sri Rama. Speaking at a press conference here today, he said the BJP would not tolerate if the government looks at this issue from a religious and caste angle. He demanded that if needed the government should amend the laws and taken stern action against all those who make derogatory comments on Sri Rama.

Dr Laxman expressed his happiness over the central government's decision to hike the minimum support price to agricultural produce and said that it was a historic decision. He informed the press that it was Modi who had given such a place of importance to farmers. After 70 years of misdeed, finally BJP will help in bringing smiles into the lives of farmers in the country. "If TRS has given Rs 4000 per acre through Rythu Bandhu programme, BJP was helping farmers to earn profits to the tune of Rs 10-15,000.

The state BJP president while expressing condolences to the families of deceased in yesterday's fire accident in Warangal, held TRS government responsible for the unfortunate incident. He questioned the government officials' attitude of allowing a firecracker manufacturing unit in the heart of Warangal city. The Warangal incident was an indication that government had no say over the functioning of various departments, he added.
