Telangana Intermediate Exams Preponed To February 28

Hyderabad: The Telangana Intermediate public examinations will begin from February 28, 2018 and conclude on March 19, 2018 as per the revised time-table released by the Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) on Tuesday. The exams were originally scheduled from March 1, 2018 but were rescheduled to avoid leakage or confusion as the syllabus in optional papers in both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh is same, an official release said.
As per the revised time table, the practical exams are scheduled to be held from February 1 to February 21 across the state. All the theory papers will be held from 9am to 12pm whereas the practical exams will be held from 10am to 1pm.
The ethics and human values examination will be conducted on January 27. Exam for environment education is scheduled to be held on January 29. In a press release issued by the board, officials said that the time-table is being revised keeping in view the time-table released by the Andhra Pradesh Board of Intermediate Education (APBIE). "Keeping in view the common syllabus in optional subjects in both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states and as there is possibility for sending the question paper of APBIE through WhatsApp that may create false rumours of leakage of question paper every day and panic/confusion in the Telangana state," the release said.
The first year students have to appear for second language paper on February 28 and the second year students have to appear on March 1. The English paper will be written by first and second year students on March 3 and March 5 respectively. Examination for Part III subjects such as Mathematics, Botany, Civics, Psychology, History, Chemistry, Sociology, Geology, Commerce among many others will be begin from March 6 onwards.
