Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari on Wednesday met Union minister of state (independent charge) for Labour Bandaru Dattatreya here and discussed various development issues. Srihari requested the Union minister to help in expediting the early clearances of budget allocations pertaining to 'Sarva Sikha Abhiyan' and other schemes from the ministry of HRD, an official release said.

They discussed Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao's letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding allocation of power and coal to Telangana, it said. Dattatreya, who is MP from Secunderbad, assured the deputy chief minister that he would meet Piyush Goyal, Union minister for Power, at the earliest and initiate steps for the same.

Dattatreya requested the deputy chief minister to issue instructions to the state authorities to assist him regarding the three villages which he had adopted under 'Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana'. The villages are Sannur in Rayaparthy mandal, Annaram Sheriff village in Parvathagiri mandal of Warangal district and Kolanpak in Nalgonda district. Dattatreya said the villages hold importance as Sannur village has a famous temple, Annaram Sheriff a famous dargah and Kolanpak a famous Jain temple.
Noting that tourism is related to development, Dattatreya requested Srihari to instruct the state and district authorities to oversee the allocation of basic infrastructure, roads and buildings, water resources and education to the places.
