Visakhapatnam: The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has cancelled it much-publicised event 'Maha Sankalp Deeskha' scheduled to be held in the coastal city on Saturday.

The event was touted as a counter to YSR Congress Party’s (YSRCP) Maha Dharna held a couple of days ago. However, the Deeksha was cancelled as the TDP leadership felt that they might not match the crowd that the YSRCP commanded. Speaking to media, deputy chief minister N Chinna Rajappa said that the TDP is planning to conduct a grand celebration to commemorate the three-year rule of the party.
