TDP Leaders Slap Each Other With Slippers

Indiscipline is ruling the roost in ruling Telugu Desam Party in Anantapur. The Guntakal TDP organisational elections saw rival groups slapping each other with slippers over ward incharge post in Guntakal town. The incident has created a sensation in the district.

On Thursday, the organisational elections were held at the Paritala Kalyanamantapam in the town. TDP MLA Jitendra Goud presided over the elections.

TDP councillor Gunasekhar and former councillor Mastanappa vied for the post. Both entered into a wordy duel and soon it deteriorated in to pushes and shoves. Later Gunasekhar hit Mastanappa with his slipper and Mastanappa retaliated. This led to more people joining the fight. The party workers had to toil quite a bit to separate the two and bring the situation under control.
