Vem Narender Reddy: Arrested, but released soon

Moments after it was announced that he was arrested, the Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) said TDP leader Vem Narender Reddy was not arrested and sent him home.

The decision is prompted by his health condition. Reddy was discharged from the hospital only a few days ago and is soon to undergo a cardiac surgery.

Vem Narender Reddy was the MLC contestant from the TDP. It was to ensure a victory for him that cash for vote scam was planned. Effort to buy the vote of TRS nominated MLA Stephenson was part of the plan.

The interrogation began at 11 AM and continued till 4 PM on Wednesday.

On his part, Narender Reddy said he would cooperate with the authorities and would attend the interrogation whenever needed
