Hyderabad: Telangana-Telugu Desam Party had suspended party leader Naishadam Satyanarayana for demanding that Junior NTR be made party chief in Telangana.

Satyanarayana alleged that there were irregularities galore in the ticket distribution for the GHMC elections. "If the party has to survive in Telangana, then Junior NTR should take over the reins of the the party in the region. He also submitted an application to the NTR's Statue at the party office.

TDP's district president of Hyderabad and Jubilee Hills MLA Maganti Gopinath immediately announced that he was suspended from the party and said that Satyanarayana has gone against the party ethics. He said Satyanarayana has filed nominations for the GHMC elections from Ramnagar division seeking tickets from BJP, TDP and Congress. His wife has filed nomination on behalf of TRS from Adikmet, he said.
