TDP Furthering Interests Of Private Companies In Capital Area

Hyderabad: The YSR Congress Party has accused the Chandrababu Naidu government of issuing GOs to further its commercial agenda in the capital area region. He said these moves were benefiting private players while the weaker sections were totally ignored while distributing land.
Speaking to reporters here on Friday, party spokesperson M Arun Kumar said, ‘the government has been allotting land to industrialists at throwaway prices, while it is collecting higher rates for government agencies. Not even 5 per cent of the land was given to the weaker sections. The farmers, who had given away their land for the capital, are still left in the lurch. They do not know, who would give them land," he said.
While the land was given to private players at nominal rates, nearby lands were given to the Government agencies at whopping prices. This shows the commercial interest of the Government, he said.
Chandrababu who has sent farmers to Singapore has not built even one 10-storeyed building in the capital area, he said and added that during his regime, YSR had distributed 26 lakh acres to the SCs and 6 lakh acres to the STs.
He said land was given to Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital at Rs 25 lakh per acre, while the New India Assurance Company was given nearby land for Rs 4 crore per acre. The Government has issued GO 369 revising the rates of land to benefit private players, he said.
