Suspected TDP Men Chop Off Anganwadi Worker’s Hand 

The attacks on YSRCP activists and sympathisers are continuing unabated in Tadpatri region of Anantapur district. Tadpatri is represented by JC Prabhakar Reddy, brother of local MP JC Diwakar Reddy.

Suspected JC Diwakar Reddy supporters attacked Haripriya, an anganwadi worker from Appecharla village in Tadpatri area. They chopped off her right hand. A critically injured Haripriya was rushed to the hospital.

Haripriya alleged that JC Diwakar Reddy's henchmen have tried to kill her.

Haripriya is the sister of slain YSRCP leader Vijayabhaskar. He was killed two years ago by his political rivals. Haripriya said that the TDP leaders were bringing pressure on her to come for an out-of-the-court settlement in Vijayabhaskar murder case. She said she had taken the issue to the notice of the police several times, but to no avail.
