Sridevi Death Not Accidental, She Never Consumed Hard Liquor: Friends 

Actress Sridevi's sudden demise has shocked the film industry as well as the entire country. Earlier reports said that the actress had died of cardiac arrest but the hospital reports confirmed that the actress lost her life after drowning in the bath tub.

She is believed to have fallen into the bath tub where she lost her conscious state before she drowned and died, reports state. According to the hospital reports, traces of alcohol were found in the Sridevi's blood. After hearing the news, family members and several TV personalities refuse to accept that she was drunk and passed out. People close to the late actress, including her family friend Amar singh have stated that the actress was not a heavy drinker and was never into hard liquor. Thus the post-mortem report is simply unacceptable to them.

The post-mortem report also reads 'Accidental Drowning' has also, raised several questions as most of the people said that the post-mortem report does not show any death case as accidental. Gurjit Singh, FMR MEA Secretary told a leading news channel: "The post mortem report says accidental drowning. I have never seen any certificate mention the word 'accidental'. The very fact that it was mentioned means there was no criminal motivation. It's the police which has to ascertain the cause."

On the other hand, popular Bollywood choreographer Saroj Khan also said that cause of Sridevi's death cannot be an accidental drowning. "How can such a huge body drown in a tub? If she had fallen into the tub, half of the water in it would have spilled outside," she questioned.

The mortal remains of Sridevi will be sent for embalming after the police is sure of the circumstances leading to Sridevi's death cause. Her husband Boney Kapoor too provided testimony to the Dubai police as a standard procedure. However, there is no confirmation on the time of funeral yet given that her body still remains in the mortuary and yet to be released.
